A shortfilm about a man with a childish soul, who has to fit into the adult world

About the project

This was the product of four months of practicing advanced media production. In groups of five we were asked to make a short film all by ourselves. We came up with the idea, that the story should be about a playful childlike man trying to adapt to the working adult world. The goal for this was for the audience to ask themselves:

“is it necessary to stop playing, just because you’re adult?”.

At set I was the antagonist, bullying my coworker Alex, the protagonist. I also had the basic knowledge of camera setting, so before being in front, I was in charge of setting the camera for the optimal captions.

In post we divided the project into sections, where I had the responsibility to clean up the dialog and make it sit correctly in the mix. We had to mix between a Boom and Microports. For this we used Auto-Align for eliminating any phase problems.

In addition to this, I was also recording engineer for the foley and co-writer for the music.

We all sat together for the final mix, in order to make sure we all were happy with the end result.
