About the project
The recording took place at Sonic College’s recording studio, using top-quality equipment. Since the band played vibrant Nordic jazz, we felt a metronome might kill the vibe. Instead, we separated each sound source into a different room and patched them together correctly. This way, the band could still play as if they were in the same room, but without the instruments bleeding into each other’s microphones.
In addition to recording the band, I also mixed the EP, aiming to preserve as much of the live feeling as possible while still achieving a professional sound.
Since its release, the EP has been played on the radio more than 10 times and has gained nearly 1,000 monthly listeners.
